Our Four 2024 Pillars: EMPATHY, EXCELLENCE, EVANGELISM, ECONOMICS
OUR VISION
Empowering individuals with a spirit of excellence and empathy exemplifying faithful stewardship of God’s blessings endeavoring to evangelize and uplift communities through sustainable economics.
OUR MISSION
Inclusion is at the heart of our mission, where we believe in fostering a culture that embraces the uniqueness of everyone, recognizing the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives that makeup Central Rock.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of Central Rock Church is to glorify God by fostering a vibrant community of faith where individuals encounter Jesus, grow spiritually, and are equipped to serve others with love and compassion. We are committed to making a positive impact in our local community and beyond, demonstrating the transformative power of the Gospel in action.
OUR HISTORY
It all started as a vision between Ealgie Gilbert and Arther Fulson, being led to have a gospel meeting to be held in the Dixie Community. Though they did not have a building, they persevered forward and held a gospel meeting in August 1961 in a tent within the Dixie Community. That meeting led 18 people to Christ to be baptized and this was the beginning of a new ministry. Central Rock Church has previously been led by Thaddaus Propps, Thomas Hartaway, Willie Ray Hill, and our successor, Christopher Fifer.
Central Rock Church was renamed from the Airport Church of Christ, AKA “The Purple Church” that previously resided in Sherwood, AR in 2016 until 2023 when our permanent home was acquired. Central Rock Church is moving to higher grounds as becoming a One-of-a-Kind church, seeking to simply bring people to Jesus.
